As Time Folds, 2026
8” x 10”
Linen, cotton, thread, plexiglass case

Created through a daily studio ritual, As Time Folds is composed of repeated lengths of fabric folded into accordion-like segments and compressed within a plexiglass case. The accumulated folds form a dense, tactile surface that evokes both an archive and an hourglass: time gathered, layered, and held in suspension.

The work reflects on repetition, duration, and the uneasy balance between time spent and time lost. Each folded section marks a day of labor, transforming a simple material action into a record of persistence. Contained behind plexiglass, the fabric becomes both preserved and restrained, suggesting the endless cycles of studio practice and the quiet accumulation of ordinary time.
